20 year old actor Tunisha Sharma’s death has shocked the entire nation. The actor had achieved several milestones in her acting career even during her teenage life. She had started acting from a very young age.
She played Chand Kawar in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, Rajkumari Ahankara in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Zara/Babli in Ishq Subhan Allah and Aadhya Verma in Internet Wala Love. She was popular for her role as Shehzadi Mariam in Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul.

Soon after Tunisha’s death came to fore, theories and assumptions around mental health started surfacing online.
Hours later, the deceased actor’s mother filed a complaint against Sheezan Mohammed Khan, her co-actor in the Ali Baba show.

“People of internet wearing mask of happiness”
Immediately after the death of the young actor came out, fans took their grief to Instagram.

Expert shares 2 major reasons why kids have anger issues

“I don’t understand what happened to this generations … People of internet wearing mask of happiness but deep inside of heart they don’t get that worthy for themselves nd commit as such things try to understand the meaning of life it’s not so hard to understand.. …😢 Wake up man wake up wake up …. Om shanti 💐🔱💔 Be happy wherever in the universe -unbelievable socking heartbreaking 2022,” wrote one Instagram user.

“It’s heartbreaking to see such a nice girl and humble die this soon. She was a passionate girl with lots of aspirations and dreams yet to be fulfilled, but what must have gone wrong so she had to take such a hard decision to end her life this soon.” at such a young age of just 21, she must have suffered with a lot of mental stress and trauma,

10 hours ago she posted such a motivational quote..and then how can she do this?? How could you think of a person with such a positive mindset to commit suicide??? There is something wrong may be..

Rest in Peace Angel,” writes another.

“Those who are driven by their passion doesn’t stop”
10 hours before having been found hanging inside the bathroom of her set where she was shooting, Tunisha had shared a beautiful picture of her holding the script, maybe.

“Those who are driven by their passion doesn’t stop,” she had captioned her picture. The caption is a beautiful remembrance that nothing can deter your spirits if they are pulled by what they love doing.

Mental health myths about young age people
Mental health affects everyone equally regardless of age. It is a very wrong assumption that young people do not get affected by mental health issues.

This myth was busted by UNICEF in one of its reports. UNICEF has talked about how this serious health condition is dismissed easily citing hormonal fluctuations.

UNICEF says: Teenagers often have mood swings, but that doesn’t mean that adolescents may not also struggle with their mental health. Fourteen percent of the world’s adolescents experience mental-health problems. Globally, among those aged 10–15, suicide is the fifth most prevalent cause of death, and for adolescents aged 15–19 it is the fourth most common cause. Half of all mental health conditions start by the age of 14.

There is a wide gap between the diagnosis of mental health in young adults and the help that reaches them. Lack of awareness is partly responsible for this and the stigmas around mental health are responsible as well.

Mental health issues are always seen in a bad light. The person does not seek help from others with the fear of being shunned or mocked at for having an unstable mind. The myths associated with mental health are so deeply embedded in people’s minds that at times it gets difficult to tell it apart from a fact.

Rates of depression and suicidal behavior have increased among young adults.

“Suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among 15-29 year-olds”
As per a recent report by the World Health Organization (WHO), suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among 15-29 year-olds.

The report adds that depression, anxiety and behavioral disorders are among the leading causes of illness and disability among adolescents.

It is important to address these issues and help the young adults to overcome the mental trouble so that it does not get carried forward to their lives ahead.
